Acne and Acne scarring................... Did you know that the skin is the largest organ in the body??. and its one of the areas we neglect.

One of the big problems of skin I see at the clinic is acne and acne scarring. Acne is not curable but with the right treatment plan and prescription of medication(if required) will most often be enough to manage the outbreaks. Acne is the result the sebacious glands producing too much oli which overloads the glands which then trigger the inflammatory response. The hair follicle becomes wide and blocks dirt, bacteria whcih then produces blackheads, whiteheads. The amount of inflammation that a person will get will vary and it can be mild or severe in nature.

We need to first reduce the amount of bacteria that you are producing and we can help this by prescribing a topical antibiotic, effective skincare range and treatments such as skin peels and medical microdermabrasion. Once the acne inflammation has ceased we can start to introduce Genuine Dermaroller for the scarring that may have been left behind.
