Who should carry out those treatments?
Botox is a prescription only medication and must be administered only by a Doctor, Registered Nurse or Dentist. Doctors should be members of the GMC, Nurses NMC and Dentists GDC. Do not undertake treatment unless you are satisfied your practitioner can meet these requirements. You must make sure that your practitioner is adequetly trained and experienced to carry out treatments competently and safely.

Harley Aesthetics Dundee is owned by a Registered Nurse who is highly trained and experienced to carry out non-surgical treatments. Please see about page for more details.
- How long has the practitioner been trained and what certificates do they hold
Your practitioner has years of clinical experience and her certified training has been via only the highest standards of tuition and contionous education.
- How frequently are treatments carried out
Your practitioner has carried out thousands of non-surgical treatments ranging from anti-wrinkle inj,dermal fillers and more advanced treatments such as cheek contouring chin and nose reshaping. and medical grade skin peels.
- Does the clinic have professional indemnity insurance
Yes we are covered by one of the leading insurance companies Hamilton and Fraser insurance.
- Is the treatment right for me
At consultation we will discuss your expectations of treatment and if you are a suitable candidate for treatment.
- How long will my treatment take
This depends entirely on what treatment that is carried out. Aim to be in the clinic anything from 30min to 1hr 30min. This includes medical consultation and telephone conversation with the doctor if anti-wrinkle injections caried out.
- Will the treatment hurt and what form of anaesthesia is used
We aim to make the treatment as comfortable as possible and to minimise this we use a topical anaesthetic thatn will temporarily numb the area that is being treated.
- Is all the equipment sterile and used only for myself
Absoloutely, Your practitioner will open the sealed sterilised pack containing thesyringe and needle for your treatment in front of you for you to see.
- For dermal fillers-what is the filler made of and will I require an allergy test prior to use
Produced and marketed by a company in sweden, Restylane is the first dermal filler approved by the FDA that is made of a biodegradable hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance present in all living organisms. The natural acid provides volume and fullness to an organism's epidermis (i.e. skin). Restylane does not require an allergy test
- For BOTOX treatment will I see a Doctor, Dentist or Nurse
Your practitioner is a Registered Nurse. A medical consultation will also take place by telephone with Dr Mark Harrison of Harley Aesthetics London.
- How do I know that the Botulinum toxin I am receiving has not been used previously and is within the recommended time limit once opened.
The botolinum toxin that your practitioner uses will be used for your use only and reconstituted whilst you are present and used within the guidelines therefore ensuring the maximum benefits to the client.
- What other treatment options are available to me to achieve the results im looking for
Non-surgical cosmetics may not be an option for you and we also carry out other treatments that may be of benefit to you. This will be discussed with you at your consultation.
- Are there before and after photos that i can see
Yes we have a portfilio of before and after pictures that can be viewed. This is with the permission of clients.
- What kind of aftercare do you carry out
We aim to see you back at the clinic within 2 weeks post treatment for anti wrinkle injections to ensure satisfaction and any minor corrections that are required. This will be discussed with you at the consultation. Your practitioner is also available for any queries that you may have. Post treatment advice sheet are given to you on leaving the clinic with a telephone number to call in the event of post treatment complications.
- What should I bear in mind after my treatment
Immediately after treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and itching sensation at the treated area. This is a normal result of injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally dissapears in a few days. Some other treatments may last longer such as lip and cheek treatment. Your post treatment checklist will explain in more detial.
- Will I be reviewed after anti wrinkle treatment and will this be included in my cost.
Yes we aim to see you back at the clinic 10-14days post treatment for BOTOX. Any minor corrections will be corrected at no extra cost. Any additional units that you require other than the recommended amount will be charged at £50 per area. Please note that BOTOX treatment is for an improvement in the dynamic lines of the face and not perfection and that there is no guarantee that the anticipated results will be achieved. Results are seen immediately after dermal fillers therefore do not require a follow up at the clinic unless you require additional syringes which are charged per syringe.
Treatment with restylane will generally last 6-12months, Juvederm up to 1 year. Results vary. Good results from BOTOX treatment are often seen after one single session and results may be seen lasting from 3-6months. Results vary.
Harley Aesthetics Dundee promotes a cool off period to go away and decide if it is the right treatment for you. If you decide not to proceed with treatment all we ask is that you telephone the clinic 48hrs in advance to cancel appointment so we can offer it to someone else.
if you are unhappy at any time with your treatment you are asked to call the clinic and speak with your practitioner where we will endevour to make any corrections. It is our aim to help you achieve your aesthetic goal.
- Will my photographs be shown to anyone else
We will always ask for your permission if we wish to use your photographs. Any photographs taken are between yourself and the practitioner. You may decline before and after photographs however it is an excellent way to see results post treatment.

- Your practitioner will ask you about your medical history, for example,(not exhaustive of) if you have any allergies, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Discussed will be your treatment needs and expectations and expected cost of treatment will.
